it’s been three years since the launch of the air pods and Tim Cook says sales have been phenomenal now we are getting the air pods Pro a totally redesigned new wireless earbuds and there are a lot more expensive so what does that higher price get you noise cancellation a new transparency mode and better sound quality so one of the biggest things about the new design is these little tips once you put them in your ears it tells you if the one you’ve selected small medium large is the best fit for your ears this is supposed to make it stay more snug in your ear however I only had the device for about 12 minutes before I was on the subway platform and one actually flew out of my ear and nearly fell on to the train tracks but it just goes to show even though a specific size is tailored to me it still wasn’t a complete fit the noise cancellation feature is fantastic I have it on right now and I can’t hear sirens I can’t hear traffic that’s just a few feet away from me it sounds really good of course there are times when you wouldn’t want to tune out the world around you so Apple rolled out transparency mode that does exactly that so you can turn it on in a few ways you can touch the side of your device or you can go into your phone into the control center you can toggle it in between noise cancellation or transparency mode here sound quality when listening to music is especially good but when you’re making phone calls it sounds pretty grainy it almost sounds like you’re making a call through a Bluetooth speaker on your car or you’re just using speakerphone in general so is it worth the extra $90 it’s important to remember that iPhones already come with tethered earbuds so air pods in general are a luxury item and the air pods Pro are a luxury version of a luxury product so do you need this product probably not but Apple has certainly delivered on amazing sound quality and noise cancellation [Music]
