Why these retro tech gadgets are still so popular

what thirty-year-old is listening to a song titled punk-rock princess I’m gonna name my egg CNN ok listen music every day and I don’t you know point records out every day the buttons don’t actually function so I have to kind of smash it so this is my Sony vintage it’s a 2008 alarm clock it’s filthy it’s covered in gross stuff I’ve never cleaned it so I bought this clock intentionally to avoid using my cell phone near my bed our phones are so good at everything that the second you pick it up you just get trapped in it so like anything that can steer you off that course he’s beneficial why would someone invest in physical records have about 300 of them at home which is actually pretty impractical I’ve been collecting them since I was about 16 years old I inherited a bunch of my dad when I was even younger than that but in college I used to DJ if you open it up I’ve got some cool images you know stuff that you can’t really get when you listen to it on streaming platforms I think that the main reason to actually invest in vinyl records is the audio quality listening to music on a vinyl record is the closest you’ll ever get to being in the studio and listening to what’s being recorded there might be a lot of Tetris players out there who are very offended by my mic I was always playing all the mario karts and it still played out but played a lot with friends actually was going out with a girl once who we were living in different parts of the country we would play the Wii Mario Cart against each other and then at the time this is the hottest gadget in town part of the reason I’ve kept this is that I was a total loser in high school and I was to go off an emo it holds all the playlists that my friends and the boys I liked and the boys who liked me the playlist that they made for me and I think that’s what makes it really special sure I could get all of these songs on Spotify sure I could rebuild each playlist but that’s a lot of work do I see myself using this technology in 10 years yeah I mean I think so I don’t think phones are going away and I don’t think I’m gonna be any less addicted to my phone or more capable of waking up in a normal manner it’s a lot more convenient to listen to music on streaming platforms but you they really don’t come close to the experience of listening to music on on vinyl so I’m pretty sure that I will use it in 10 years because I’ve had it for so long it’s probably like one of the only pieces of tech that I still use that isn’t my phone so I could see always a market for for stuff like this this thing does one thing and it does it adequately it’s even like kind of broken but it still does its main functionality and it’s fine it’s totally good 5 stars
